Where
is the JDTI campus located?
JDTI campus
is located in Noida, which is well-developed satellite town near Delhi.
The campus is 10 kms away from the main commercial center of Delhi
that is Connaught Place, 5 kms away from South Delhi and only 1 km
from East Delhi. Noida is very well connected by public transport
from all the areas in Delhi. |

non-profit organization. |

Is
there a hostel facility?
There
are several options available in form of paying guests (sharing &
non-sharing basis) and individual apartments for outstation students
in the residential area, around the campus. The housing facility is
available both for boys and girls, and most of the apartments/paying
guests are within the 5km radius around the campus. All the outstation
students enrolled at JDTI are staying in paying guest accommodations
as well as individual apartments in the surrounding residential areas.
You can get in touch with JDTI's admission office to get references
of the paying guest accommodation and senior outstation students who
are staying as paying guests. |

What
are the different facilities available at JDTI?
The facilities
provided at the institute are:
Workshops
Modern
State-of-the-Art workshops fully equipped with the latest machines,
tools and accessories. Individual
workbenches for the students to exercise and learn manufacturing techniques.
The institute has 3 workshops for this purpose.
Classrooms
Theoretical
training is conducted in modern classrooms using the latest audio-visual
techniques.
Seminars
Designers,
Jewellery manufacturers and Marketing experts, hold regular Lectures
and Seminars.
Gem
Lab
The
institute has a well-equipped Gemmology Lab and a large regularly
updated collection of Gemstones that are used to provide training
to identify and evaluate gemstones using practical testing procedures.
Jewel
CAD
The
institute has a Computer Lab wherein computer aided design techniques
(CAD) are taught to the students.
Library
JDTI
has a Resource Center that is fully equipped with reference books,
manuals and CD's covering all aspects of Jewellery designing, manufacturing
(The distance-learning students can also use the resource center on
1st Monday of every month between 10:00am and 5:00pm).

Noida
in it self is fully equipped and has hospitals, markets, malls, bookshops,
stationery shops and restaurants around the residential areas. All
the major food chains like Mc Donald's, Nirula's, Pizza Hut &
Domino's among others are situated in Noida. Public transport is easily
available for commuting with in Noida. |

it necessary to have good sketching skills to enroll in the Jewellery
Designing course?
It is
not mandatory to have good sketching skills to master the art of designing
Jewellery. The faculty to hone the skill of sketching and designing
provides professional guidance. |

Does
JDTI provide any placements at the end of the course?
JDTI provides
placement assistance to the students graduating from the 1 year-Certificate
course and 2 year-Diploma course. The students on course completion
choose between joining the industry as permanent employment basis
and working as freelance / part time Jewellery designers. Some students
also opt to setup their own units. JDTI provides guidance to students
opting to setup their own manufacturing units. Students of JDTI have
worked with top names in the Jewellery industry - P.P. Jewellers,
Dwarka's, Celeste', Inter Gold, Uni-Design, Enchante', Mehrasons and
Adamus among others. |

Does
JDTI impart industrial exposure during the course?
Industrial
training is provided to the students enrolled for the 2 Year Diploma
course only. The duration of the internship is 6-8 weeks. Students
need to meet the minimum requirements set by JDTI for internship.
In the past the students of JDTI have done internship with the following

Uni-Design, Intergold India Ltd., Gemplus, Adamus, Gili, Eurogold
Jewellery Ltd, Titan Industries Ltd., Dwarka's, Khanna Jewellers,

can I do after completing 2-year diploma course?
The curriculum
at JDTI extensively covers all aspects of the Jewellery
industry. Therefore, professionally you can work in the industry as
a Designer, join the Manufacturing section, Retailing department and
even specialize in Gemology and deal with identification and grading
of various precious stones and diamonds. You can work with any of
the established brand names, Jewellery manufactures, exporters and
merchandisers or choose to free lance or opt for setting up your own
Design Studio and workshop. |

can I do at the end of the distance-learning programme?
In the
JDTI distance learning programme we have designed your journey in
such a way that you learn in the shortest possible period the key
essentials required to be able to function smoothly in the Jewellery
industry. You will be able to understand the market, identify the
consumer needs, visualize ideas to suit the demands and create impressive
presentations to communicate the end product to the client. Professionally,
you can work as a Jewellery designer, freelance or opt for starting
your own Design Studio. |
